Lower Valley Energy Pipeline Clearing

Terra Firma was contracted by local energy provider Lower Valley Energy to remove all timber and biomass in preparation of a natural gas pipeline. The sensitivity of the site necessitated the management of a small excavation footprint. In most situations Terra Firma managed cutting and removal crews to receive materials at designated landings. The woody mass was processed by a 1000 horsepower Morbark 4600 EL grinder and either shipped directly to local markets or left on the ground for site reclamation.

Food Pilot Program

In 2007 a partnership with 1% for The Tetons and the Teton Conservation District resulted in a successful pilot project involving community restaurants, a school and a grocery store. Food waste and other organic non-recyclables were sorted and composted resulting in a large quantity of material diverted from the landfill while creating a locally produced, value added product.
