The dynamics of forest systems have been altered throughout time with mans involvement in wildland fires. Forest thinning projects have been one way to help a forest regain its natural cycle. Terra Firma has joined forces with private entities and the U.S. Forest Service on forest management projects by taking slash and unmarketable lumber and grinding it into wood products. These products are used as mulch or can be spread back onto the forest floor adding future nutrients to the forest system.
